KARACHI: Carrying on its journey on a path that leads to the ultimate revival of Pakistan’s film industry, Support Free Media adds another rousing event to its name, bringing together people with similar ideological notions under one roof.
Founder of Support Free Media, Ahmed Tamjid Aijazi, organized a casual breakfast meet-up on Sunday, 28 February for friends and colleagues from various media outlets to meet and discuss the current state of showbiz in Pakistan and how Support Free Media plans to bring about a positive change to it.
Actor Farhan Ally Agha, Director Hisham Syed, Director Qaiser Qureshi, Maqsood Yousufi, Kamran Ata, Abid Beli, Faizan Lakhani, Arbab Jahangir were some of the prominent media and social personalities present at the meet-up. They shared their views and reasons for the current deteriorating state of showbiz in Pakistan and how and why it has alienated from our cultural norms and ideologies. Aligned with Support Free Media’s vision and strategies, a healthy discussion was carried out over why it has become crucial for people with coherent ideologies and constructive intellect to enter and give a vision and direction to the showbiz industry of Pakistan.
The breakfast meet-up provided an opportunity for like-minded people to meet, network and generate stimulating ideas for bringing about a positive change in the film industry. Endowed with the constructive ideas and approach yielded in these discussions, Support Free Media plans to continue its mission of creating inspiring, intellectually and technically sound cinema experience for Pakistani audience.
The meet-up served as a prelude to the Annual Grand Dinner 2016 which is to be held in Karachi on 10th December 2016.
